“The great thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving.”
Throughout the therapeutic relationship, I like assessing the specific needs and goals that are important to my clients as we progress forward. Therefore, strategies and theories of practice are varied and catered to each session. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I typically like to begin with processing through individual childhood traumas and/or relationships that are contributing to a present suffering. Through the theories of Attachment, Cognitive-Behavioral therapies like Exposure and Response therapy and Inference-Based CBT, Narrative therapy, and more, it is the goal that clients experience an alleviation of distress in their relationships with their partners and families, and in their relationships with themselves.
I have experience and enjoy working with clients and loved ones suffering with traumatic life changes, acute and chronic illnesses in the healthcare setting, OCD/other distressing patterns of thought, and more. I enjoy working with adolescents, couples, family systems, and individuals. My goal is to help by being an ear for my clients, hoping to comfort and promote change in desired areas. I ask that clients come with an open heart to be their full selves and embrace parts of themselves that they don’t always like very much, as this is where the new adventure begins.
